Since 2017, Creek Villa Center has been the Hill Country's premier wellness and youth development destination — a place where families grow, students thrive, and neighbors become friends.
Creek Villa Center was born from a simple idea: every child deserves a safe, inspiring place to grow after the school day ends. In 2017, founders Rachel and Tom Kessler transformed a historic 10-acre ranch property along Comal Creek into a community center unlike any other — one where nature, wellness, and education come together.
What began as a small after-school program for 30 students at a converted ranch house has blossomed into a full-service community wellness center serving over 2,500 students and families annually. Our campus now includes an indoor recreation hall, art studio, swimming pool, nature trails, outdoor amphitheater, and organic community garden.
The name "Creek Villa" honors the beautiful Comal Creek that borders our property — a constant reminder that growth, like water, follows its natural path when given the right environment. We believe in meeting each child and family where they are, supporting their unique journey with patience, expertise, and genuine care.

Our mission is to nurture confident, healthy, and community-minded young people through holistic programs that balance academic support, physical wellness, creative expression, and social development. We believe that when children have access to safe spaces, caring mentors, and enriching activities, they develop the resilience and character needed to succeed in school and beyond.
Our School First approach means every program we offer is designed to complement — not compete with — the school day. We coordinate directly with local schools to align our tutoring with classroom curricula, reinforce positive behavioral frameworks, and ensure our students carry their after-school growth back into the classroom. Parents consistently tell us that Creek Villa is the missing piece their family needed.
Beyond youth programs, we serve the broader community through family wellness workshops, senior social circles, volunteer opportunities, and seasonal festivals that bring the entire Hill Country together. We are not just a community center — we are a community family, committed to the long-term wellbeing of every person who walks through our gates.
Our commitment to transparency, safety, and evidence-based programming has earned us recognition from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the National After-School Association, and the Comal County Chamber of Commerce.
Our team of educators, wellness professionals, and community builders is united by a shared passion for helping families thrive.

We believe outdoor experiences and physical wellness are fundamental to child development. Our 10-acre campus integrates nature into every program, giving children the space to explore, move, and breathe.
Academic success is the foundation of everything we do. Our after-school programs are carefully designed to reinforce classroom learning, support homework completion, and build study skills.
We serve the whole family, not just the child. Our family workshops, parent resources, and community events create supportive networks that strengthen families from the inside out.
